Once the home of the noble Ghezzi family and now the town hall of Domaso, Villa Camilla is a neoclassical building constructed in the early 17th century. The villa stands at the edge of the historic centre, just a few metres from the lake, beyond the Regina state road.
The building has a rectangular floor plan and comprises two storeys.
The ground floor features a spacious entrance hall and various rooms decorated in a style consistent with the exterior; on the upper floor, several rooms are arranged around the central hall, which is characterised by its stone fireplace. The rooms overlook the garden, the villa’s true gem, covering an area of approximately 8,000 square metres and adorned with tuff grottoes and a wide variety of flowers and trees. The entrance to the villa’s garden is marked by an elegant 18th-century gate.
Today, the villa hosts events such as exhibitions, concerts and displays, and is a romantic venue for wedding celebrations thanks to its interior and exterior architecture and the view of the lake it offers.
The venue can host a civil ceremony and a small reception in the entrance hall or in the garden, for both residents and non-residents (both Italian and foreign nationals). The room set aside for the ceremony can be personalised to create a unique atmosphere according to the couple’s tastes, as the decoration is the responsibility of the bride and groom.
For further information and to organise the ceremony, please contact Domaso Town Council.
