In keeping with tradition, on Thursday, 14 August from 9 p.m. the 79th edition of the traditional Parade of illuminated boats and fireworks display will take place on the lakeside road in Gravedona ed Uniti. 

The eve of Ferragosto (15 August) for Gravedona ed Uniti is a special date, the most heartfelt appointment for the people of Gravedona. The festival has been held every year since 1946, at the end of World War II, with the parade of illuminated boats built by groups of volunteers during the winter. The lakeside road and the various squares in the centre come alive with lights and scents, amidst food stands and good music. Not to be missed is the great fireworks display, whose colours and magic enchant everyone. 

Programme:

• Thursday, 14 August: 
  - From 7 p.m.: Street food and music in every square on the lakeside road; 
  - At 9 p.m.: Parade of illuminated boats; 
  - Fireworks display to follow. 
• Friday, 15 August: 
  - From 7 p.m. in Piazza Trieste: Summer Party - Street food and music by "De Beat"
  - At 9.30 p.m.: Awardceremony of the 79° Parade of illuminated boats.

• Trieste Square: Hamburger - Sciatt and Pizzocheri - Venere rice and shrimp salad - Bresaola with rocket salad and Casera cheese - Fritters - Stand by Legnone Brewery - Various drinks
• Street Ciceri: Pinse - Piadinas - Hamburger sandwich - Sausage sandwich - Spritz - Draft beer - Handmade Sicilian cannoli - Handmade ice cream stick - Handmade tiramisù
• Garibaldi Square: Pizza and mixed fried foods - Meatballs - Poke' - Tiramisù - Cheesecake - Ice cream - Beer and drinks kiosk
• Cavour Square: Mixed grill - Gorgonzola polenta - Polenta with ribs/sausages - Sandwiches with hamburger/wurstel /sausage - French fries - Beer and drinks kiosk
• Mazzini Square: Pulled pork sandwich - Beer and drinks kiosk

To access the lakeside road of Gravedona ed Uniti on the evening of 14 August, you will need to pay an entrance fee, which can be purchased on the evening itself at the various access points. Cost: €3.00.
