St. Donato and St. Clemente’s Church is located in Germasino (now belonging to the municipality of Gravedona ed Uniti); it was built between the XV and the XVII century. Inside the church you can admire fine frescoes and paintings dedicated to Mary, as well as a wonderful polychrome marble altar dating back to 1802. As you enter the pronaos there are frescoes ascribed to De Magistris, since his name (“Sig. De Mag.”) is inscribed in the lunette above the portal, depicting the traditional theme of the Madonna and Child surrounded by St. Donato and St. Clemente. In the vault, the Four Great Doctors of the Western Church are depicted on a blue background.
