The Parish Church of San Giorgio was built on 22 December 1914 in the centre of Colico, replacing an older church located in Piazza San Giorgio.
The façade features a mosaic of “San Giorgio che trafigge il drago” (St George piercing the Dragon) by the sculptress Lydia Silvestri from Valtellina, which was commissioned by Father Salvatore Schenini in 1965.
